Free Motion Quilting frees us to turn sharp corners or go round in circles without turning the quilt. This allow us to follow any design. This is your chance to learn & practice basics of free motion quilting.
In this class you’ll:
–view examples of free motion quilting (trunk show)
–learn how to set up your machine
–learn helpful tools & supplies
–learn how to secure threads when you stop/start stitching
–practice embellishing a potholder or trivet
The keys to free motion quilting are information and practice. This class gets you started and prepares you for Free Motion 201 where you quilt a variety of basic free motion designs. For best results you should know your sewing machine and have experience using it. This will allow you to enjoy this more advanced machine skill.
